Give your reasons to support your opinion in choosing a teaching model to teach English skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking)
Answer:
Cooperative Learning Model means doing something together by helping each other as a group or a team. Cooperative learning is a learning model that prioritizes cooperation to achieve learning objectives. Cooperative learning is a form of learning by way of students learning and working in groups. Cooperative learning is carried out through sharing processes between students, so as to realize mutual understanding between the students themselves. Cooperative learning is different from other learning strategies. This difference can be seen from the learning process which emphasizes the process of working together in groups. The goal to be achieved is not only academic ability in terms of mastery of subject matter, but also the existence of an element of cooperation for mastery of the material. This cooperation is the hallmark of cooperative learning
In my opinion, this cooperative learning model really helps students in reading and writing more effectively because in the integrated cooperative learning model students are invited to actively participate in groups and exchange ideas about the material provided by the teacher. So that here students must be more courageous in expressing what they have in mind without any fear of appearing in public so that they can socialize with their discussion partners. As we know that in the learning process the students must be demanded to be active no longer the teacher. Teachers only serve as facilitators and inspirations for their students.
In speaking and listening to be more effective because students are formed into several groups, each of which they have to discuss by listening to each other's statements, which requires them to talk to each other and listen to which statements are appropriate to solve their discussion assignments as well as theirs. must present and listen to the results of their discussion and the results of other group discussions. In this group they talk and listen more because the teacher only becomes their observer during the discussion.
