Answer:

The purpose of learning English for students is to develop the competence of students in using spoken and written English so that when they enter the world of work they have the ability to communicate based on four abilities, namely, listening, speaking, reading, and writing.to become a more qualified reader to be a better, more flexible writer to become a better listener and more effective speaker to be a more creative and critical thinker to develop a vocation of moral imagination, ethical values, and taste.

strategies in teaching English need to be changed from conventional to more communicative. Teachers need to facilitate students to encourage students to speak only in English in class. Furthermore, the effectiveness of English learning is also based on information conveyed by teachers to students and English practice that can help students to share their ideas and feelings in English.

Teachers should ensure that they know simple transactional phrases that they can use to manage their interactions in class. These transactional phrases will make students do some interactions and stay in class.
