Question :

Provide your rationales to support your opinions in choosing a teaching model for teaching English skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking)

Answer :

In communicative approach there are four basic skills of learning foreign language like English i.e. listening, speaking, reading and writing. When it comes to talking aboutusing English at any level of education whether it is primary, secondary, intermediate or at the tertiary level, it requires teaching the four skills of the language giving equal importance on each of these skills. Each of these is important. In communication and especially in communicative English each skill demands equal importance. Ever growing needs for using English around the world is the consequence of the role of English as the world‟s international language have given priority to finding more effective ways to teach these crucial language skills.

In my opinion, the fastest way to improve our ability in English is by practicing it through speaking in everyday life. Speaking is crucial as giving students the opportunity to practice real-life activities.  One of the developments from language is speaking or conversing, it is called with speaking. Ability development language is related to development of speaking, the more people able to speak getting richer language skills, the richer language skills make students the more confident to speak.. To facilitate our ability to speak, there are quite effective ways to try, including: increase vocabulary, read aloud, know simple English grammar, read written English, conversation English, listen to English songs, watch English films, love English lessons. This will help us to learn and understand English more easily if we practice regularly.
