“BULLY SHOULD  BE BANNED”


INTRODUCTION :

Imagine you are walking down the hall when suddenly someone sticks out their foot and trips you.  You look up, embarressed, to find everyone laughing, pointing, and mocking you. How would you feel and react in a situation similar to this one? Unfortunately, many fall victim to this daily.

THESIS STATEMENT :

Bullying is a large problem in our society that impacts people of every age, race, gender, and religion.


MAIN BODY :

  • Bullying is essentially the process under which a person (victim) experiences deliberate mistreatment and intimidation by a person or group, creating an imbalance of power between them, causing  the victim to live in a heightened sate of  stress and enxiety.
  • There are four types of bullying :

  1. Physical bullying involves kicking, hitting, pushing, shoving, throwing stuff, or any other act that causes bodily injury to the victim.
  2. Verbal bullying comprises that of name calling, gossiping, insulting, demeaning, yelling derogatory terms or phrases at the victim, and attempting to verbally intimidate.
  3. The third type of bullying is hidden bullying, which includes attempting to damage the victims reputation or cause humiliation to them
  4. The final type of bullying is cyber bullying, which is primarily bullying that take place through sosial media, text messages, or anything connected to the technology.


CONCLUSION :

  • Bullying should be banned because of a large problem in our society that impacts people of every age, race, gender, and religion.
  • Direct bullying through physical injury or threat of phsycal injury is the iconic form of bullying , but verbal bullying in the form of teasing and name calling is the most commonly reported exprience of bullying.
  • Cyberbullying is perhaps the most dangerous because it allows the bully to have 24 access to the victim from location and offers the bully remain completely enonymous.
