“PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN THE CITY”

     Public transportation is an essential service that must be provided by the government to its citizen, These forms of transport charged set fares that depend on the distance of travel and run on fixed routes. However, there are some sections of city who used to using private vehicles and some are accustomed to using public transportation. Public transportation if compared with some big city there are some point to considering the advantage and disadvantage of public transportation.  

    First of all one of the advantages is that using public transport is very economical. Taking buses and trains is cheaper than using private cars. If people have their own car, they have to pay a lot of money for service, repairs, and insurance. It maybe will cost all the money people earn. Reducing hourly traffic, for example Based on the survey, the most convenient city for driving is Tampere, Finland with a stop-start rate of 6,240 times a year. This means that every day the drivers there only walk 17 times and then stop. An extraordinary number to make it easier for the driver and pamper the engine of his vehicle, as well as freeing the driver from congestion so can preserve the environment and it can reduce pollution, because there are less cars driving on the road, and there are fewer fumes and also less traffic jams. In some city using public transportation is faster than drivings. For example in seoul, Korea the development of the subway has made Seoul convenient, by using subway we can save the time. Other than that,  Public transportation allows you to relax. For example Japanese trains are comfortable with cushioned seats that people feel socially obligated to keep clean, guaranteeing a relaxing trip no matter how long you are on board for.

   However, one of the disadvantages is that using public transport is crowded. For instance, there are always too many individuals on the same bus in rush hour. Maybe thieves are on the bus they take. The public transport does not operate 24 hours a day. People have to follow the time table, so they must wait for it. Furthermore, the safety of women is one of disadvantage of using public transportation. This has been revealed and released according to a survey by the Thomson Reuters Foundation. The survey looked at abuse on public transport systems in the world's largest cities.

Six in ten women in major Latin American cities report that they have been physically abused while using public transportation. The least safe transportation for women in Latin America, namely Bogota, Colombia, Mexico City and Lima, Peru. But now security in public transportation has been more closely guarded by the force of law and technology. 

    As the conclusion, along with the times and technology, the advantages and disadvantages of public transportation can be upgrade, in terms of safety and effectiveness, thus encouraging many people to using public transportation as a subtitute of own vechiles.
